Diagnosing Dyslexia does not require lab test or imaging.
Treatments can help manage condition, but there is no known cure.
The affects of Dyslexia can last several years or be lifelong.
The main cause of dyslexia is not yet known, but it considered is a genetic disorder by the experts. It is characterized by difficulty in reading, memorizing, and identifying words. There is no specified treatment for dyslexia, but the child can be helped by using defined educational approaches and techniques.
Often parents are first apprised of their student’s difficulties from their teachers and it is natural to try to determine what could be the cause and how to get help for their child. Schools usually test for an academic or grade level deficiencies, but parents may not be given a specific, identifiable issue. Dyslexia needs to be correctly identified so that effective remediation can be started.
